The International Institute for Law and the Environment (IIDMA) is an independent organisation, founded in January 1997 with the aim of contributing to sustainable development and the protection of the environment, through the analysis, implementation and enforcement of the law.
It is the only organisation of its kind in Spain, having been a pioneer in addressing environmental protection through law. It specialises in the fight against climate change, energy transition, governance and sustainability, water resources, biodiversity and oceans.
We analyse and prepare proposals to favour the development and effective implementation of law to promote sustainable development.
Aimed at citizens, organisations, and public and private institutions.
We promote litigation when legal and regulatory instruments are not being complied with, in order to prevent or stop environmental damage.
We collaborate with educational institutions in their academic and training programmes.
If you are a person committed to the environment and believe that your professional talent can add great value to IIDMA, find out more about how to join our team.
