Knowledge and experience at the service of the environment
Melissa Medina has a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in Amazonian Studies from the San Marcos National University in Lima, Peru.
She has ten years of experience working in communications departments of nationals and internationals NGOs dedicated to the protection of the environment and human rights, both in Spain and Latin America.
Throughout her career, she has specialized in promoting communication and awareness strategies aimed to the conservation of the Amazon, the preservation of the biodiversity and the defense of land rights. She has also worked with social organizations and movements from sevearl Latin American countries developing communications campaigns to make visible the situation of rural women, indigenous people and human rights and environmental defenders.
