Alba Iranzo

Lawyer specialised in environmental law

Alba Iranzo is a lawyer specialising in environmental law and sustainability. She has more than eight years of experience in strategic legal advice and multidisciplinary project management in environmental, climate change, governance and energy transition matters at EU and Spanish levels. Throughout her professional career, Alba has worked on different projects concerning the implementation of environmental policy and regulation in Latin America at the Colombian Attorney General’s Office, in the UK at the Environmental Investment Organization (EIO), and in Spain in the Public Law Department of the law firm Cuatrecasas.

Since May 2016, she has been working as an environmental lawyer at IIDMA advising on the ecological transition in Spain, with a special focus on climate change, multilevel governance with public sector and energy transition issues.

She holds a degree in Law and Journalism from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, an LL.M in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development from Kinsgton University of London, and an Executive Master in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) from the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI) in Madrid.

Alba is the author and co-author of different publications, and has participated as expert speaker in trainings and public forums on environmental sustainability.
