Alba Iranzo
Lawyer specialised in environmental law
Alba Iranzo is a lawyer specialised in environmental law and has seven years of professional experience in environmental, energy and climate change law and policy at international, European and national level. She holds a degree in Law and Journalism from the Carlos III University of Madrid and an LL.M in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development from Kingston University in London.
Throughout her professional career, Alba has worked on issues related to the legal defence of the environment in Latin America, at the Colombian Attorney General’s Office, and as a lawyer in the Public Law Department of the Cuatrecasas Law Firm. Since May 2016, she has been working as an environmental lawyer at IIDMA with a special focus on issues related to climate change, energy transition and environmental litigation.
Alba is author and co-author of numerous publications addressing issues such as Spanish climate and energy action at state and regional level, climate governance, sustainability of the energy use of forest biomass, and access to justice in environmental matters, among others.
